The Great Window Cat Experiment
Author Greg Shirilla in Conversation with Jill Hopkins * Screening of the film companion to The Great Window Cat Experiment
Free with RSVP / 21 & over / Doors: 6:30pm / Show: 7:30pm
There were 20 cats. They were all painted up with different character designs. They were all put on a window sill. They were all stolen one by one. This is their story.
Born in the rust and grit of Youngstown, Ohio, Greg Shirilla’s art is a collision of raw rebellion and refined technique. Influenced by comic books, heavy metal album covers, skateboard graphics, and graffiti, his work blends underground edge with museum-level appreciation. With a deep love for both “lowbrow” and “highbrow” worlds, Shirilla blurs the line between them—creating bold, unfiltered visuals that challenge and captivate.
Join Greg Shirilla and Gman Author Series’ director Jill Hopkins in conversation about the book, Greg’s prior works and influences, and a special screening of the short film companion to The Great Window Cat Experiment.
Copies of The Great Window Cat Experiment will be available for purchase at the event. Book-signing to follow the conversation.
